Repair & Restoration
Where an item is not lost but either damaged or in the case of earrings one item still remains, we will need to recover the remaining parts. Depending on the residual value we will either collect the item(s) or alternatively ask you to use Royal Mail Special Delivery, we will of course confirm safe receipt by phoning you when the item arrives.
The recovered item will be assessed, either by ourselves or where appropriate by an independent NAG valuer, a report will be submitted to your Insurer and upon receipt of their instructions we will contact you to discuss your options for resolving the matter.
Where it can be demonstrated that the item can be fully restored then this will normally be Insurers preferred option. If this course of action meets with your approval the item will be restored by specialists and upon completion will be submitted for a report by an independent NAG valuer if appropriate.
As with replacement, the repair and restoration process is only completed once having received the restored item and reviewed the independent valuation/report you confirm satisfaction by returning a signed acceptance form.
