Replacement
Where replacement is the Insurers preferred option and once value has been established the replacement options are as follows:-
• When the required replacement jewellery is clearly defined the items will be selected/created and where appropriate independently valued prior to delivery
• Normally insurers allow replacement to be either on a like-for-like basis or with alternative items to the same value
• A visit can be made to one of our suppliers where stones can be selected prior to the creation of replacement items or where completed items are available for selection
• Where the item is unique we can replace through a preferred local jeweller provided the jewellers prices are reasonable and in line with insurer’s expectations
The replacement process is only completed once having received the replacement items and on reviewing the independent valuation you confirm satisfaction by returning a signed acceptance form.
